What is a Telomere?

Telomeres are the “end part” of our chromosomes – a long, repetitive sequence of DNA in our genome, so long that it can be stained and seen under a microscope. Every time our cells divide, our telomeres get a little shorter, and every time they shorten, our cells age. That’s the central cause of aging.

Aging is programmed; we age at a somewhat predictable and constant rate. Therefore, it stands to reason that humans must have a “clock” ticking inside us – some kind of timing mechanism counting us down to self-destruction. Biologists (and before them, philosophers) have always reasoned that this may be the case, but at the time, no one could find the mechanism.

The telomere is that mechanism. It is the “clock” of aging that ticks inside every dividing cell of the human body, and in learning how to wind that clock backwards lays the cure for human aging.

What’s In It?

The key ingredients in REVERSE are highly effective mixture of natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory plant compounds extracted from the bark of a pine tree using a proprietary, internationally patented, eco friendly and solvent free water-only extraction method. It is a blend of antioxidants including oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC’s), catechins, quercetin, taxifolin, piceatannol, fruit acids and many other natural active ingredients .

A number of in-house and independent studies on This ingredient have demonstrated its numerous health benefits. This list is too lengthy to fully detail here but here are a few examples: it has been used extensively for Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI’s); vascular, skin and eye health; cardiovascular disease; and neurological health.

The most dramatic observation is the ability to lengthen telomeres (in a animal model) by over 40%!

Resveratrol is unique amongst antioxidants because it can safely cross the blood-brain barrier to help protect the brain and nervous system. There is extensive research on this ingredient and many of its effects are similar to the Pine extract which further strengthens the potency and benefit of this formula.
Pterostilbene is referred to as a methylated Resveratrol compound that is similar to and supports the benefits of Resveratrol and has a higher bioavailability and a longer period of activation in the body. It occurs naturally in blueberries and has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine as a “blood tonic”.
Quercetin is a flavonoid commonly found in fruits and vegetables and it impacts many of the factors and conditions associated with aging. As with each of our ingredients, it is supported by abundant research and it is known to address:

  • Cardiovascular health (encourages blood flow and inhibits LDL oxidation)
  • Can diminish levels of stress
  • Rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
  • Blood pressure (stabilizes systolic, diastolic and average arterial pressure)
  • Respiratory health
  • Hypertension
  • Interstitial cystitis
Diet and cell health
Green Tea (50 % EGCG) and its primary active constituent, epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), favorably alters pathways underlying pathological processes such as:

  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Diabetes – improves glucose control and insulin sensitivity
  • Obesity – long term consumption of green tea is associated with a lower percentage of total body fat, smaller waist circumference, and decreased waist to hip ratio
  • Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases – research demonstrates a neuroprotective effect in animal models
Astaxanthin is a carotenoid, related to beta-carotene, lutein, and canthaxanthin, and works in several unique ways. Although most other antioxidants are depleted after they’ve transferred their free electrons, astaxanthin has a massive surplus, allowing it to remain “active” far longer.

Also, it can quench a number of free radicals at any given time by forming an electron cloud around the molecule. This is known as the electron dislocation resonance. When free radicals try to steal electrons from the astaxanthin molecule, they’re simply absorbed into and neutralized by this electron cloud all at once.

Research has demonstrated that is reduces oxidative damage to DNA by 40% (even at low doses). Again, the benefits are numerous.

Lecithin contains fatty acids that can activate gene controlling receptors (PPAR Gamma – peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors). Once activated, these receptors play a major role in energy balance and metabolic function. Amongst its many health benefits, of note are the following: it improves cholesterol levels, benefits the brain, improves immunity and protects the liver. It also improves absorption of supplements and drugs.
